The story of Hither brook started when the founder, Carla D’Andre was a small child and in 1965,  her parents launched a business called Hither Brook Horticultural Center and Nursery. Located  in St. James, Long Island New York, this is the business she grew up in helping to serve clients of their retail garden center along with family members, until the nursery was sold years later.

Decades later and following a global career in insurance and finance, she and her husband have relocated to Ocala an continue the legacy name of ‘Hither Brook’ in tribute to her parents. No longer in the nursery business, she is determining the best way to relaunch Hither Brook in service to customers.
